IN CHARACTER
Name: Ravage
Canon: Transformers: IDW
Canon Point: Post his death in #55(Note: He will be showing up in one piece and alive, however. Since it would be too mean otherwise)
Age: Roughly 4 million years or so old
History: Have a wiki
Personality: Know the Grumpy Cat? Well this is that cat only in robot form. Or at least until you get to know him.
To most people, Ravage can be downright stand offish. Often preferring to stay back and watch things, before getting involved. Especially when he's trying to figure out what is going on. His specialty is being stealthy, being able to sneak around unnoticed pretty well. In fact most of the time you probably won't even know he's there, because he's rather quiet. Speaking up when making a point, or if the situation calls for it. Sometimes he can even be rather sassy about it, and he's definitely not afraid to speak his mind if he needs to.
But to the right people, he can be loyal and a good friend. Even if a rather grumpy and stubborn one. In fact towards the end, he had started being more social with the crew of the Lost Light. Going to the bar for drinks and just hanging out. It's still a real work in progress, though. To others, he can be a deadly fighter, willing to stand up for the crew, and fight alongside them. As he did in the fight against the DJD. Staying with Rodimus and the others, when he could've easily left them behind. And even up until he died, he was helping the Autobots that he was with.
He also doesn't trust very easily. This trust issue not being helped by the fact that literally just hours earlier, he and others were betrayed by 90% of the LL's crew when they mutinied. Leaving them stranded on a planet, to be killed by the DJD. But he also doesn't trust organics, particularly humans, that well either. After he was at one point taken prisoner and held by a group of humans on Earth. But even then, in the end, he went out and fought against the DJD for what he, and the others stranded on the Necrobot planet, thought were organics.
Another thing he doesn't like is to be looked down upon, or considered lower than another. Can blame the treatment he started his life with. When as a cold constructed with a beast form, he was given the worst jobs, like running errands for the terrible Senate. Also part of that is he does not like being referred to as a pet, or even treated as one. He's definitely not a fan of being petted, even if he puts up with it. He's also not a big fan of being confined to one place when he has no choice.
So he might not be the most social of people when he does show up. But given time, and with trust built up, he will come around and improve.
Contracts: At first Ravage is going to be utterly disoriented. Last thing he'll remember is being in the medical area of the fortress on the Necro bot planet, and dying. So to suddenly wake up again will be quite the start. Once he recovers from it, and given the mutiny that happened just hours prior, he's going to suspicious of people suddenly thrusting contracts at him and saying something about a ship. Once he finds out that there's other Cybertronians, he would reluctantly sign in, just so he can get on the ship. Even if he still doesn't trust a word about it.
Abilities/Skills:
Transformer: Yup, he's Cybertronian. Though he's on the smaller scale of them, what his universe calls a Minibot. He's roughly about the size of a large horse. He can transform too, into one of the most useless alt-modes ever: A robot size cassette tape. ....yeah, he doesn't use it often.
Attention deflectors: He's covered in millions of these tiny things. As the name might suggest, it diverts attention off of him. Effectively making him invisible. If he doesn't want you to see him, you won't see him. In fact they were so effective, that some members of the lost light created a 'Ravage detector' so they could tell when he was in a room.
Piloting ships: Yup, despite lacking the manual dexterity, and walking on all fours. This cat can fly a space ship. With the help of his tail. In issue 50 he's shown piloting Drift and Ratchet's ship to save them, plus in earlier issues he took part in the theft of a ship that was in possession of the Autobots(though it's unknown if he flew it)
Keen sense of smell: Like extremely keen. He's probably got the best nose amongst the crew. He can sniff out scents to to tell who they are. After he was captured, he was used like a bloodhound to track down members of what they thought was their Lost Light. He can even tell someone's mood or how they're feeling by their scent. Even with somebody that doesn't show a lot of emotion, like Shockwave.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Strengths:
- Don't let his size fool you, Ravage is pretty dang strong. He's shown easily taking down guys 5-10 times his size in battle. And in fact he was entrusted with taking down Megatron. On his own. That should tell you something right there.
-He's also pretty smart. Comes with observing people. He can pick up things other can't, and be able to relay that information.
- He's great at stealth, helped by the deflectors
- He's small, so able to get into spaces other Cybertronians might not be able to.
Weaknesses:
- He is tiny. Thus can be picked up pretty easily by a bigger bot.
- Aside from a semi-prehensile tail, he lacks manual dexterity. I mean he is just just a big robotic cat.
- He's not the most social of guys.
Items: I wasn't sure if they should go here or in abilities. But the only things Ravage has with him, is a pair of hip mounted rockets. One on each side.

Another ship, another quest. Ravage wasn't sure how he felt about this. Specially with how the last one ended, at least for him. The only difference between this ship and the Lost Light, was all the humans and other organics onboard along with Cybertronians. The ship obviously being built more to accommodate them, than for his kind.
He was thankful he seemed to be just small enough to easily maneuver through many of the corridors, that some of the others couldn't. Like he's often taken to doing. Getting to know this ship. Where the corridors led to. and what was in the rooms that he could get into. Like his current perch, in an out of the way corner in of one of the rooms made to accommodate all. His attention deflectors working to keep him out of sight as he watched those that passed through, and what they did while there.
But his mind was on other things. Like his own situation. The one upside was that Megatron was here, and more surprisingly, so was Soundwave. If he had to be stuck on another ship, he was glad to at least have those two. But both of them being here brought inner turmoil to him. While he had missed Soundwave, he'd learned to be okay with not being there with him. He'd grown closer to Megatron, which certainly made up for the slack. But now he wasn't so sure who he wanted to be around more.
There was also the matter of the traitor, Riptide, that was on here. Along with the matter of Tarn himself. He'd been told not to attack either of them. An order he didn't like, but for the time being he held to it. He'd wait for orders to do so. He could easily avoid both of them. There was many Cybertronians he didn't know, either. Plus the matter of the organics on board, not helped by the fact that the moment he woke up, he had organics shoving some kind of contract at him, saying he couldn't stay if he didn't sign it. If he hadn't quickly learned that Megatron was here, he probably would've refused.
But here he was. He didn't know who he could trust, especially among the unknowns. But he had time to learn this. It was certainly going to take some getting used to.
